Arequipa, the White City of the Andes

Nicknamed thus because of its architecture built in Sillar, a white volcanic stone from the surrounding volcanoes, Arequipa was conquered by the Incas, who developed flourishing agriculture in the heart of the desert.
Its pleasant climate and colonial buildings, notably the famous Santa Catalina convent, a veritable city within a city, will seduce you. You will also discover the Juanita mummy, a fascinating witness to Inca rites dedicated to the Apus, the protective spirits of the mountains.

Salinas y Aguada Blanca Reserve

This morning, set off for a full day of discovery of the reserve Salinas y Aguada Blanca, an exceptional natural space located at high altitude. You will be amazed by the diversity of Andean landscapes, between high-altitude desert, sparkling lagoons and salt flats.

On the way to Colca Canyon – Nature, culture and Andean villages
We depart early in the morning for Chivay, enjoying magnificent views of the cordillera volcanoes along the way. We will cross the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where we will be able to observe herds of vicuñas. Once we arrive at the village, nestled in the heart of lush terraces over 1,500 years old, we will have lunch, then settle into the hotel.
In the afternoon, if you wish, we will set off for a short walk in the surrounding countryside.
We will depart from the hotel to visit the ruins ofUyo Uyo, an ancient Inca village located at 3,000 meters altitude. After this exploration, we will return towards the hotel, with the possibility of making a detour to the hot springs.
Shortly after our departure from Arequipa, we will make a stop at the Añashuayco quarries, where you will have the opportunity to observe the work of stone cutters on sillar, this white volcanic stone widely used in the region.

Colca Canyon and Cross of the Condor

Early in the morning, we will first head to the Condor's Cross, an excellent observation point over the Colca Canyon, where we may have the chance to admire the majestic flight of condors, lords of the Peruvian sky.
Next, we will follow the canyon to visit the villages of Pinchollo and Maca.
Back at the hotel, you will have time to rest, and, if you wish, to visit the hot springs.

Lake Titicaca – Visit to the Uros and Taquile Islands
To Titicaca
We will take our private boat to reach the Uros Islands, entirely built with reeds. It will be possible to kayak in this unique environment. After some time spent on one of these islands and an explanation of the daily life of local populations, we will continue towards the Taquile island.
On Taquile, we will walk to the central square of the island, where we can discover the textile market, a local specialty. We will then go to one of the community restaurants to have lunch.
In the early afternoon, we will go back down to the port to board our boat heading to Puno, with an arrival expected at the end of the day.

From Puno to Cusco
A private driver will take you from Titilaka hotel to Puno.
Then, you will board the Pérou Rail Titicaca train for an unforgettable journey between Puno and Cusco, two emblematic cities of Pérou.
During this day, you will cross the Andes and the Peruvian altiplano, admiring spectacular landscapes. On board, you will enjoy a high-end service, with hot beverage, three-course gourmet lunch, and typical musical entertainment and dances. Cusco – Archaeological Sites and Discovery of Incan History
To Cusco
Today, we will pick you up at your hotel to visit the main attractions of Cusco. We will head towards the upper part of the city, where we will first discover the archaeological sites of Tambomachayand Puca Pucara, two major sites during the time of the Inca empire.
We will continue our visit with a beautiful walk towards the ruins of Qenko, before arriving late morning at the most important complex in the city: the sanctuary of Sacsayhuamán.
After a lunch break, we will continue our visit through the streets of the ancient Inca capital, rich with thousands of stories and anecdotes, to be discovered in the company of your guide.
Finally, you will have the possibility, if you wish, to visit the Qoricancha temple of the sun or the cathedral, and you can purchase the ticket directly at the entrance (45 soles).

Chinchero, Moray, Maras and Ollantaytambo – Exploration of the Inca Sites
Today, we will start our day with a visit to the archaeological site of Chinchero, a must-see in the region. We will then head to a textile workshop where community members will explain the ancestral techniques used for local textile production.
We will continue our exploration towards Moray, where you will discover the ingenuity of the Incas in agriculture and natural knowledge. You will also be amazed by the beauty of this unique place.
We will continue towards the salt mines of Maras, a fascinating site. If you wish, a 1h30-2h downhill hike towards the Urubamba river will offer you stunning views of the valley and a different perspective on the salt mines.
After lunch, we will end the day with a visit to the Ollantaytambo fortress, a major historical site.

Machu Picchu and Belmond Hiram Bingham Train Journey
Aguas Calientes → Machu Picchu
You will need to reach the main avenue of Aguas Calientes to take a shuttle that will take you to the entrance of Machu Picchu. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
Today marks probably one of the highlights of your trip!
You will discover the Incan city of Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of Incan architecture, listed as a World Heritage site and recognized as one of the 7 new wonders of the world. Nestled between the Andes and the jungle, Machu Picchu remained unknown for centuries, until Hiram Bingham, with the support of National Geographic, began to reveal its unique richness.
Yet, Machu Picchu still holds many mysteries… You will stroll at your own pace through the streets of this city seemingly frozen in time. You will also have time to isolate yourself to contemplate this site in complete serenity.
You will also visit Huayna Picchu, the "Young Mountain", located at 2667 meters altitude. This site probably served as an observation point for the Incas, offering a breathtaking view of Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu → Aguas Calientes
After exploring the Inca citadel, you will descend by bus to the village of Aguas Calientes. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
At the end of the day, you will take the Belmond Hiram Bingham train from Aguas Calientes to Poroy, departing at 5:50 PM and arriving at 9:20 PM. This luxury train, inspired by Pullman carriages from the 1920s, transforms your journey into a magical experience.
On board, you will enjoy personalized service, a dining car, a bar and an observation car. You will begin your experience with a welcome cocktail and savor a delicious meal while being accompanied by Peruvian music performances. This unforgettable journey will take you to Poroy, near the former Inca capital.
Return to Cusco: gastronomic experience on the way

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.

Passport
To enter Peru, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your entry date and must contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps.

Tourism stay without a visa
Entry requirements depend on your nationality. You must verify the visa requirements and any visa exemptions applicable to you with the embassy or consulate of Peru in your country of residence.
Generally, immigration authorities may request:
an exit ticket from the country (return flight or onward travel),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
confirmation of an accommodation booking for the first nights.
Health and vaccinations
Vaccination requirements depend on your nationality and the regions you plan to visit. However, certain vaccinations are strongly recommended according to the areas visited:
yellow fever is recommended for travelers going to the Amazon regions and low-altitude areas (below 2,300 m); an international vaccination certificate may be required upon entry if you are arriving from a risk country,
updating routine vaccinations (hepatitis A, typhoid fever, tetanus) is advised.
Precautions against malaria are recommended in certain regions of the Peruvian Amazon. Consult a doctor or international vaccination center before your departure.
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
When a minor travels without one or both parents, Peruvian authorities may require a notarized parental authorization, ideally translated into Spanish. Additional requirements may apply depending on your country of residence.
