A property steeped in history
Since the 17th century, Hacienda Huayoccari had specialized in corn production. This activity was indeed the source of wealth for most of the haciendas in the area, which had thousands of hectares at their disposal. However, following the agrarian reform undertaken in 1968, Hacienda Huayoccari saw its land reduced to 40 hectares. Nevertheless, the property remained in the family thanks to the good relationships it maintained with the surrounding community. Moreover, to this day, certain members of the neighboring villages are part of the Hacienda Huayoccari restaurant's staff, spanning several generations.
